Swallow's Show Fed Square

IT was great to get out with the family and look at some art. We attended the NGV Potter Gallery to see Ricky Swallows exhibit. There was alot of Goya inspired works which I like. Pascal struggled with being in a pram for a long time while Noah struggled to stay with us. They were both happy for the sound room, in which we discussed the music and slowed down to look at the books. There was a bit of added relief from Art Cart. It's hard to share my appreication of art with the fam when they are still at the age of mummy being the entertainment. Does anyone else have similar stories, feel free to add them here. I would love to hear them!!!

PS: The 'Together Alone' textile exhibit was a highlight (in particular MarterialbyProduct) as well as the comtemporary permenant collection. Notables were Giorgetti and killer Mikala Dwyer. Anna Swartz must be onto something. It was good to see Charles Robbs work on the wall also.

10,000 Loy Krathong ( Yi Peng ) Festival Lanterns Getting Released

This is peaceful. I learnt how to make these lamps in Guatemala. I am thinking of picking up the practice again since I've seen this video, quite inspiring.

Each Peach

New Stockist!!!! The wonderful Helen down at Each Peach are now sampling a range of La La Hi Prism clothing in her uber chic cafe, down the Albion end of Lygon St, no 506 in East Brunswick. With a love for all things fruit baked, the La La Hi Prism linen range of goes well with their rustic aesthetic. I love to take my son there and drink the organic coffee while Pascal Sips his 100% organic fruit juice. All food is incredibly well resourced, local organic and homemade. Try being there on the Wednesday when Brianna the cookie maker is baking up her super treats, resent donuts were the best fresh donuts I've had. With beautifully crafted wears from her mother the place is warm and inviting. I wish I had her eye for furniture like Helen, very lovely. All in all a good affordable local for the family that's cosy and comfortable. I love Each Pach, also the name refers to my favourite chic school rocker, Peaches, you can't go wrong.

Gett'n busy on the Halloween theme

Well its halloween and we have a few events spinning around the spooky theme. We will atend a Halloween Ball tonight, and possibly a door knock tomorrow night, followed by a Martial Arts Fun and Games Halloween theme night. For Noah I made a him a skeleton costume because thats what he requested. Like all sons of mothers who sew he wanted a store bought version (fear my costume just wont add up!!). I surprised myself by producing a costume that was standard and creative. I love a silhouette and this was just what I could rumble up in an 11/2 hours! I was very impressed. Noah loves is too. The gloves were picked up by my mother while on a shopping spree with Pascal. I was desperate to make Noah a skeleton costume with ribs of all different colours, my mother wisely warned against it. She was right, but what to do with all those fused colours. A Skeleton outfit for Pascal, this took 20 minutes.. wow.. Here are the internet references I used for my ideas.

Recent Days

The last couple of days have been pleasant with beautiful weather and all. I almost feel like I should show you a photo of clothes drying on the line but I won't. I have also included photos of things that have brought me pleasure in the last week (as usual food and the children). First two photos are of Pascal drinking from a sip box while at Each Peach where I tried there delicious home made Oreo inspired cookie (tasted as good as it looked). The last photo is of Noah at the Westgarth Fete last weekend happily showing of his googlie eyes. Awesome Noah, a great moment captured.
